Class Explanations
To allow for
NEW classes, not all listed classes are offered every term.
Classes are open to adults and children over 12 years. All of our classes are hand on providing you with all the materials required to complete the project being taught. You can start with the basics and follow on learning all about different designs for cards, scapbooking and about many other exciting new techniques.
Each class is limited to a maximum of 6 people so each person can receive personal attention.

| Do you ever buy a stamp and wonder what other designs you can create with it? This class will certainly give you ideas and help you get the most out of your product. Featuring one versatile background stamp as our base we will make four very different cards using different colours, techniques and accessories. I'm sure you'll love the results.

| At the start there is paper, stamps, ink pads, embossing powders and markers. When you put them all together you will produce some wonderful cards and take home some fantastic tips and ideas. This is a great class for someone who wants to start making cards or for the experienced card maker to refresh on basic skills or someone simply looking for some easy and stunning cards to make. With Christmas 11 months away you will have plenty of time to practice making special occasion and birthday cards using stamps, embossing powders, colour, glitter and many embellishments.

| Intermediate Class - Stamping skills required |
| I am very excited to release the second stamp design under my own label, a layered butterfly. This design will look fantastic with glittered wings and will be perfect for special 3D cards. You will make a stunning 3D card, a beautiful pop up bookmark and a gorgeous window decoration that could also be used to embellish a special gift box. A stamp design that you will be able to create a multitude of designs, from a single layer to many, keep it simple or make it spectacular.
Class cost includes the un-mounted stamp which will be available to collect prior to class - to allow you to trim the rubber and mount onto ezy mount, together with a clear mounting block. |

| Newly released stamps, delicate pastel papers and colouring markers of many shades will all feature on the four crisp white cards that will be made in this class. You will see how different tones of the one colour on a card can have a striking effect. Just imagine, pink on pink or yellow on yellow with a caring sentiment and whatever the occasion, you will have a card ready to give.

| Intermediate Class - Stamping skills required |
| These days there are so many markers, paints and inks to colour with, that it can be confusing to work out which is the best to use. In this class we will concentrate on two popular colouring tools - Tombow pens and Twinkling H2O paints. I will also introduce Copic markers, a fabulous new range of permanent pens that are so easy to blend. Each of these has their own unique quality and finish and can also be used to complement each other. Have lots of fun learning easy ways of colouring to obtain stunning effects on the cards in this class. If you are tempted by all three mediums you can start with just a few and continue to add extra colours to your collection.

| Advanced Class - Stamping skills required |
| A four panel concertina will set the scene to show off four card fronts. Learn different sponging techniques using distress ink pads. Play with highlights like Pearlex powders, gold leaf and glitter with overlaid stamping techniques. Try your hand at colour on vellum and cold laminate. If you need to make a card, select a front, but make sure you replace it with another as you will want to keep your artwork and ideas on display all year round.

| A beautiful concertina display piece made up of four die cut cathedral window chipboard panels. All we have to do is decorate each panel. Open the front door to reveal a simple watercolour background showcasing a rainbow of colour. A soft resist technique in the background will give the illusion of a never ending garden. The foreground will be transformed into a magical garden full of colour by using the new Copic markers on acetate. A bewitching piece that you will never want to put away.

This year, Glenice, a self confessed addict of all things simple yet stylish, will show you how to get the most out of the 'paper on paper technique' by effectively using a patterned paper, decorative stamps and simple embellishments to create a stylish set of cards. 'Cards made Easy' is the theme for Term one and with a striking colour scheme, the results are eye catching, versatile and fast. Come and be inspired.

| Some pretty new paper, sweet stamps and cheery wishes all add up to three lovely cards for family and friends. 'Cupcakes' will be the feature of this class and we will play with our new Copic markers to show you how easy blending colours has become. Simple and Sweet designs!

| Has it been a while since you have played with inks and paint, then this is the class for you. We will 'dab', we will 'sponge' and we will 'kiss' to create three stunning cards using easy techniques. Silhouette stamps will highlight the decorative backgrounds and help to create style and pizzazz on these colourful cards for all occasions.
